Team Venom Racing -Buttonwillow Raceway 4/07/02

Track: Buttonwillow Raceway Date: 04/07/02 Temp: Low 80's So I drove down to Buttonwillow Raceway Saturday afternoon to catch up with Rob at the track and then run in HPDE on Sunday. Rob already warned me that 5th gear on the back straight was embarrassingly useless. He was right. 4.10's + stock T45 + trying to accelerate @ 120mph = nothing for me. Other than that, I had a blast. ;-) This was my second time driving Buttonwillow and my first time running this configuration, which is run in the reverse direction of my first time. Needless to say, I spent my first two sessions finding the line, the limits and pointing lots of people by. The third session, I was feeling much more comfortable and was able to put down a 2:03 lap time. I skipped out on the fourth session to save the car and tires for the 4-hour drive home.
